Social worker recruiter Bluecare launches graduate training academy

Bluecare has launched a graduate training academy, designed to cherry pick and train the rising stars of the next generation of recruitment professionals.

The company, which recruits qualified social workers and care professionals, created the initiative as part of an ongoing strategic recruitment drive to meet the needs of Bluecare’s expanding business.

The company is seeing increasing demand from a growing marketplace in which the vacancy rate for qualified social workers stands at 10% across the UK. The Bluecare training academy is designed to meet the needs of this highly complex and specialised area of recruitment by providing dedicated training and insight into the structure of social care in the UK.

Miles Davis, managing director of Bluecare, said: "The number of applications we received far exceeded the number of available places. In today’s economic climate many bright young people are looking at their options and deciding that rather than going on expensive university courses, they are going to start learning and earning straight away by training in the workplace. Our academy provides them with the opportunity to do that, in one of the most competitive and specialised areas of recruitment."

The 10 new Bluecare graduate trainees will now undergo a period of intensive training and study before hitting the sales floor for the first time.

Miles added: "The recruitment industry always needs new blood and hungry young individuals who will push the bar of performance. We are all for encouraging that and we are confident that this initiative will help continue to drive improvements to the service we provide to our clients and our candidates."
