PwC helps employers raise awareness of apprenticeships in professional services

PwC has launched a toolkit to help employers raise awareness with students at schools and colleges of opportunities in for higher apprenticeships in professional services.

Matt Hamnett, education specialist at PwC said: "All the evidence points to the importance of employers rolling up their sleeves, becoming actively involved in the development and delivery of apprenticeship programmes and - crucially - getting out there and engaging with young people in schools and colleges.Students need to hear at first hand about the world of work and what employers will be looking for from them.

"With more higher level apprenticeship programmes being developed all the time, they have the potential to transform the way students consider their career options. Employers have responded really strongly to our consultation to develop a new higher apprenticeship framework for the professional services, reflecting the growing interest in apprenticeships as a route to highly skilled careers."
