It finds almost two thirds (64%) of recruiters think it is much harder to recruit with lower budgets. Prior to the credit crunch 57% of employers used their own websites to attract talent, but this has risen to 65% as a means of cutting costs.
However, the report shows recruiters have already started planning their strategies to take on staff over Christmas and 80% believe the current climate will not have an effect on seasonal recruitment.
Joe Slavin, CEO of fish4jobs, said: "It is evident recruiters are becoming more cautious with their money, but recruitment will continue to be an important cost unless the jobs market slows down. This is great news for jobseekers. There are still plenty of vacancies available, although everyone should exercise caution before leaving jobs hastily."
