Orange and the National Enterprise Academy join forces to develop budding entrepreneurs

Orange has announced a partnership with the National Enterprise Academy to uncap the potential of 16 to 19 year-old entrepreneurs.

Orange will provide the communications technology to the National Enterprise Academy and offer work placements to its students.

The scheme, which was launched by BBC Dragons' Den star and founder of the Academy Peter Jones, will give budding entrepreneurs the first steps into the world of business. To be granted a place, applicants must prove their worth with personal drive and ambition, rather than academic achievement.

Tom Alexander, CEO of Orange, said: "UK business plays a pivotal role in transforming entrepreneurial culture in the UK. For us at Orange constant innovation is essential in order to achieve our goal of becoming the best-loved telecommunications company in Britain.

"We work for one of the fastest-paced industries in the world and it is therefore essential we hire young people with the skills, ability and drive to become the future leaders of our business. The National Enterprise Academy is a superb way to do just that.

Peter Jones added: "Our partnership with Orange is an invaluable asset to our students as they will be able to learn from Orange executives and get a behind-the-scenes look at the UK telecommunications market."
