HR Magazine - National Online Recruitment Awards Shortlist announced (1)

Now in its 11th year, the annual National Online Recruitment Awards (NORA) today revealed the shortlist of finalists for 2011.

This year The NORAs received 17,717 nominations for 526 separate recruitment websites. As ever, there are 12 award categories, which recognise the very best in online recruitment practice in the UK.

The award categories include employers, job boards, recruitment agencies, publications and employment advice websites.

This year, the surge in usage of social media channels in online recruitment, is reflected in the best newcomer and best innovation award categories.

Following nominations, the NORAs shortlisting panel assessed all sites, from the perspective of a job seeker, to produce their line-up of finalists. This year, more than ever before, consideration was given to the use of social media, mobile-friendly websites and mobile Apps for smartphones and other devices.

A separate judging panel (including Sian Harrington, HR magazine’s editor and publisher) will now deliberate to decide who this year’s winners will be.
