In demand HR directors can earn 140,000-plus

<p>HR professionals salaries are exceeding 140,000, according to a new FSS salary survey. </p><p>It finds that wages in both the public and private sector will be competitive as the war for talent continues in 2008. In the private sector, the average HR director salary in London is 100,00, dropping to 80,000 in the outskirts of the capital. The average wage for a public-sector HR director, working in London, is 70,000. </p><p>Results also reveal that organisations are increasingly looking for HR professionals to have certain skills that meet the internationalisation of business. These skills include being able to speak a second language as well as knowledge of international employment law. </p><p> 2008 is set to be strong for HR," says Jo Davies, associate director of FSS HR. Companies are offering highly competitive salaries and benefits to attract and retain the best talent in both the public and private sectors those candidates with in-demand experience will almost certainly continue to be courted by several potential employers. </p>
