Foster Denovo acquires Barker Poland's corporate division

National Advisory Group, Foster Denovo has agreed a deal with wealth manager, Barker Poland, to transfer its longstanding Corporate Division to the firm.

Commenting on the deal, CEO Roger Brosch said: "We are delighted the Corporate Division of Barker Poland will be joining our business. Acquisitions present interesting opportunities for us, and having increased our profitability and further improved our financial strength in 2011 are a key part of our growth strategy both pre and post-RDR.

"The acquisition of Barker Poland's Corporate Division is part of the focus of bringing high quality clients, advisers and support staff to our thriving City of London office. It is also an excellent fit with our existing Employee Benefits Division, operating under the Secondsight brand, and I look forward to it becoming an integral part of our business."

Patrick Barker, chairman of Barker Poland, added: "We are very pleased to have been able to negotiate this deal with Foster Denovo which provides long term security for our staff and the prospect of enhanced services to our Corporate Division clients from a well-resourced firm with scale and specialist knowledge.

"The transfer of the Corporate Division will allow Barker Poland to concentrate on, and further develop, our asset management business operated through Barker Poland Asset Management LLP."
