Ernst & young creates new role of managing partner for people

Ernst & Young has appointed Liz Bingham as managing partner for people in a newly created role.

Bingham, who has been with the firm for over 25 years, previously led the restructuring practice and will drive and implement the firm's people strategy.

She will lead the firm's commitment to attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent across the UK and Ireland.

She said: "Diversity plays an important part in this and I am committed to delivering our ambition to create an inclusive environment in which all our people can succeed."

Ernst & Young is already making good progress with its own diversity credentials, with 28% of positions on its leadership team now held by women.
