Employers need a better understanding of dyspraxia

Employers are being urged to better understand the condition of dyspraxia, after research marking Dyspraxia Week (12-16 October) revealed 35% of youngsters fear their condition will be a barrier to them in their chosen career.

Dyspraxia, often known as Clumsy Child Syndrome, affects people's perceptions, language and thought. Approximately 6% of the UK population suffer from the condition.

The research, by the The Dyspraxia Foundation, found those living with the condition often find it difficult writing CVs.

The Dyspraxia Foundation is running a year-long campaign to highlight the issues that sufferers face, especially in the work place.
