Speaking at the 2013 HR Most Influential, in which Ceridian is a sponsor, Sawers said: “There has never been an opportunity such as there is today to talk with integrity about what values bring to a business. It’s an opportunity which is, therefore, unprecedented and it's up to HR to take that opportunity.”
Sawers said analytics allows organisations to produce more meaningful metrics in their financial statements, such the ability to tie employee engagement to customer engagement.
“For the most advanced and far thinking HR people, that's what they are already on,” he said. “If that skill-base isn't already in the team, the advice would be to seek it from outside.”
“Most people understand that this [big data] is not just a trend and a fad, it’s the essence of the job in the future. And, it’s important that everyone pays attention to what's now available, in terms of an understanding of what big data brings to companies, businesses and organisations and what it can mean to HR teams.”
