City & Guilds holds 'trade fair' for staff as part of its learning and development strategy

For the past two days City & Guilds has been holding its own take on a trade fair so staff can learn more about the business and customers.

The event at Battersea Power Station has been created by staff, for staff, as part of the organisation’s learning and development strategy.

All staff members will have the chance to explore exhibits from the different departments and learn about City & Guilds’ current and future business. It is also a chance to discover more about its customers and market, to see learners in action, and to encourage staff to use innovation and imagination to drive City & Guilds forward.

The event has also been a chance for City & Guilds students to showcase their achievements to staff. There will be a fashion show from one of its award-winning fashion students, modelled by City & Guilds staff, as well as a Bollywood dance show, food demonstrations to sample and even some beauty therapy to indulge in.

Debates and discussions will be held over the course of the two days, focusing on key issues within the vocational education sector and featuring key speakers from City & Guilds and the education industry. The event also sees the launch of the new brand marketing campaign – spearheading a talent revolution.

A teaser campaign was run in the lead-up to the event to build suspense and excitement surrounding the new strategy. The talent revolution aims to encourage people to unleash their potential and develop their skills with the help of City & Guilds.
