Best Companies is to survey staff engagement levels for Fitness First

Best Companies has been appointed by Fitness First to conduct the group's first global employee engagement survey.

The gym, health and fitness health club group has more than 13,000 staff worldwide and staff in 16 countries will be given the chance to say what it is like to work for the group.

Neil Tune, UK HR director of Fitness First, explained the reasoning behind the survey: "To support our launch this year of mission and values, we wanted a global employee survey of individual businesses to enable us to focus clearly on the things that matter in creating a fantastic workplace. We know that if our staff enjoy their work, then our members will notice and benefit."

Best Companies' questionnaire is closely aligned to the organisation's corporate values, he added, and it has been tailored to ensure topics specific to the business are covered.

The results of the survey will be presented to Fitness First by mid-July
