Amey outsources recruitment of temporary staff

Public services provider Amey, has appointed Randstad Managed Services (RMS) to deliver a managed service programme (MSP) for all rail non-track side temporary labour throughout the UK.

RMS has been awarded a five-year contract for the provision of contingent workers including all technical, industrial, clerical, professional, IT and niche skill sets.

It is hoped the partnership will provide Amey with greater visibility on spend, concise management information and the ability to drive the business more effectively whilst delivering cost savings. The MSP is enhanced by the introduction of the e-recruitment solution Talentlink.

Valerie Hughes-D'Aeth, group HR director for Amey, said: "Over the last couple of years we have been working hard to provide innovative, efficient and effective HR services across the whole of Amey. This has culminated in us winning two awards recognising the improvements we have made. We see this partnership as a further step and are confident that with their expertise, RMS will support us in driving further improvements in our temporary labour resource provision."

RMS is the outsourcing arm of Randstad, the recruitment and HR services company.
