Yoga

If you have a spare meeting room, offering occasional yoga or stretching classes can benefit employees – mind, body and soul.

Sally Lovett founded Stretching in the City after quitting a stressful advertising job, and now offers classes including chair yoga and one-to-one stress-busting sessions to senior executives.

“Practicing yoga in the workplace has plentiful physical, emotional and mental benefits,” she says. “Yoga postures can alleviate ailments that typically arise from a desk-bound job – such as carpal tunnel syndrome from too much typing or a sore lower back from slumping over a screen. It also provides space and solace to find mental clarity, which can boost productivity, concentration and team morale.”
