Ronan Cassidy, chief human resources and corporate officer, Royal Dutch Shell

Ronan Cassidy is chief human resources and corporate officer at Royal Dutch Shell, a position he has held since January 2016

Based in The Hague, it’s a role that sees him span HR, external affairs, security, health, real estate and aircraft. He is also a member of the executive committee.

Cassidy has spent his entire 31-year career to date at the oil and gas giant, joining in 1988 before working his way up through various HR roles to take the helm. Previous roles include executive vice president human resources, downstream, between 2009 and 2013, and executive vice president human resources, upstream international, between 2013 and 2015.

Cassidy graduated from Worcester College, Oxford University in 1988 with a BA in Modern History.
