Frank Douglas, CEO and founder, Caerus

?Frank Douglas is one of the most influential UK voices in diversity and inclusion.

In particular he challenges business and the profession over the lack of progress in BAME representation in industries and leadership.

A former executive VP, group HR director at Misys, group HR director for TfL and Scottish & Newcastle and HR director at Royal Dutch Shell, ‘New Yorker in London’ Douglas started his career in commercial and consulting roles in firms such as Towers Perrin and International Paper.

In 2010 Douglas was elected non-executive director of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and in 2011 was listed as a Most Influential Practitioner. His accolades include being the first HR director invited to speak to senior staff at the Royal Household at Buckingham Palace and receiving an honorary degree from Middlesex University, London. But HR is not the only string to his bow. He was a semi-professional trumpet player back in New York, having attended the High School of Music and Art made famous by the Eighties TV series Fame.
