- What does your new role involve?
Creating the right people strategy to enable the delivery of ourdevelopment aspirations and the growth of our core business. My agendawill range from future-proofing our leadership capability and managementstructure to maximising the capability of the HR database.
- What attracted you to the role?
Tribal is a complex business with a range of services from schoolsinspection to IT strategy consulting, PR and architectural services. Italso has a core business vision 'to improve the delivery of publicservices' and that resonates with me. Also, as a group HR director, it'sparamount that I'm able to build a 'value add' relationship with the CEOand group finance director. At Tribal I am fortunate to have hit thejackpot in both.
- What skills and experience do you bring?
Skills in leadership development, resource management and employeeengagement; experience of pension issues within a Japanese operation, ofOD work, managing unions in Korea, merging a sales team and developingcommission plans for global teams, and hiring CEOs, CFOs and CIOs acrossAsia.
- What's the greatest challenge over the next 12 months?
To prioritise tactical, strategic, short and long-term action so we havethe capacity to get done what will make the greatest difference to ourclients and shareholders.
- What do you do to unwind?
I love to sail so I try to spend a lot of time on the water. I also havegodchildren with whom I spend time, and there's nothing like unwindingwhile cooking for friends.
