- What does your new role involve?
I'm responsible for leading the HR team, ensuring that Global Radio attracts, retains and develops the best people in the radio industry. We are also in the process of integrating two businesses - Global Radio and GCap Media and I am responsible for ensuring we undergo a smooth transition from an HR perspective.
- What attracted you to the role?
Global Radio is an ambitious, fast-moving company. The acquisition of GCap will present a challenging and new environment, and to begin with I will be working on the integration of the two companies. Global Radio has a very clear vision for all of its brands and is destined for success. It has a strong team that I'm pleased to be involved in.
- What skills and experience do you bring?
I have worked in the radio industry for the past eight years and in HR for over 16 years. I feel that I can bring motivation to current and new employees and retain existing talent.
- What's the greatest challenge over the next 12 months?
The integration of the two businesses will prove to be a challenging time, one which I am looking forward to. I am determined to develop the culture of the business and build a great HR team to support Global Radio.
- What do you do to unwind?
I go on holiday, visit friends, spend time with my family and enjoy the odd drink or two.
