A spokeswoman from Bentley Motors told HR magazine production staff finished work for the Christmas holidays on 10 and 11 December and are due to return to work on 12 January. Normally they would finish on 23 December and return today (5 January).
Staff will bank the cancelled shifts and non-production staff are continuing on a normal working pattern.
Reports this morning claim production at Mini's branch in Oxford has also been temporarily halted.
