Amec Foster Wheeler has announced the appointment of Mark Burrows as group head of shared services, effective immediately

Burrows will oversee the transformation and management of a shared services function at the multinational consultancy, engineering and project management company.

The aim is to deliver high-quality support services including finance, IT, and HR to the firm’s four key business units of the Americas; Asia, Middle East, Africa & Southern Europe; Northern Europe & Commonwealth of Independent States; and the Global Power Group.

Burrows joins Amec Foster Wheeler from telecommunications company Juniper Networks, where most recently he was vice-president of global business services. He has also held the positions of vice-president of global tax, treasury and business solutions, and vice-president of global field finance and operations. Before that he worked at Network Equipment Technologies as senior director of international finance and operations.

Burrows is based at the company’s headquarters in London, and reports to chief financial officer Ian McHoul.

McHoul said: “I’m delighted to welcome Mark to the company in this vitally important role, which will ensure we continue the transformation of the business into a truly world-class project delivery and engineering provider.”
