Austin and her husband live in Cardigan, West Wales where they have also invested and mentor a number of businesses including a fine art gallery, supporting up and coming new artists, and an award-winning luxury holiday business. The red thread to Austin’s broad professional portfolio is spotting talent and providing a platform to flourish.
In keeping with her mission to unlock potential, Austin also leads Pizza Hut Restaurants Education a registered employer provider delivering apprenticeship qualifications from L2-L4 and partnering externally to provide over 16 professional career and qualification routes to MBA. She is most proud that despite the pandemic and crisis for the hospitality industry, the education team continued to train learners on furlough and celebrated many graduations during the last 18 months.
Since 2016 Austin has been a companion of the Chartered Management Institute and in 2021 took on the role of Chair for the CMI Welsh Board with the vision to ensure better led and managed organisations with an increased number of professional qualified managers across Wales.
