Pink joined Addaction in 2005 and in 2016 was appointed to lead the organisation. He is a fellow of the CIPD and has 30 years experience working in public and not for profit organisations. He was responsible for leading the executive, corporate governance, HR & learning and development teams and has significant experience of mergers and acquisitions including the second largest charity merger in 2015 when Addaction merged with KCA. In 2017 under his leadership Addaction became the first voluntary sector organisation to deliver primary care services.
Pink was shortlisted for the HR Director of the Year Award at the HR Excellence Awards in 2016 and has been recognised in both 2015 and 2016's HR Most Influential lists. Addaction’s HR directorate has been multi-award winning and has recently been shortlisted for Best HR Team at the 2017 Charity Times Awards.
Pink was also on the board of the London HR Connection, a networking group of HR professionals in central London, where over the last 17 years he has been chair, vice chair and secretary. He has spoken at a number of events, including several national and local CIPD conferences, various employment law conferences, ACAS TUPE conferences, Trustee Exchange and the Charity Finance Directors Risk Group.
In July 2017 he left Addaction to embark on a portfolio career, the first part of which will be as an associate lecturer at Chichester College, delivering on the Post Graduate Diploma in HRM.
Outside of work he is a global traveller, an avid follower of electronic and progressive music and a lifelong AFC Wimbledon fan.
