Real Prospects 2009

Real Prospects 2009 - participation deadline December 19th 2008

Time is running out for your organisation to be part of Real Prospects 2009 - the first national survey of new and recent graduates’ real experiences of recruitment, training and career development.

An overwhelming number of employers have committed to this pioneering study, which will deliver significant insight into how graduate recruitment and development programmes are rated. For the first time employers will be able to see how their graduate programmes really perform within their industry sector and across the UK as a whole.

RWE npower has chosen to take a partner package and tailor the research specifically to the needs of its graduate development programme. Bob Athwal, Head of graduate recruitment and development, says “this research is welcomed by RWE npower. It is imperative that as graduate employers we ensure a return on investment by delivering on our recruitment promises and being truly recognised as employers of choice.  Because that's how our people feel”.

Developed in partnership with the AGR and the Guardian Real Prospects 2009 is:
• completely independent
• open to all recruiters and employers of graduates in the UK
• free for standard participation
• NOT a ranked league table

Helen Bird, Sales Director of Guardian Jobs states “The Guardian has maintained a longstanding commitment to the graduate market and is delighted to be the media partner for Real Prospects 2009. There is currently nothing else like this out in the market, certainly not on this scale, and we hope it will prove to be of immeasurable use to graduates and the recruiters of future talent alike”.

Conducted by HECSU on behalf of Graduate Prospects, Real Prospects 2009 will:
• identify what recruiting organisations actually deliver to graduates in their first few years of work
• inform the development of benchmarked industry standards
• celebrate the best practice in the employment and development of graduates nationwide

All data will be anonymised and employers requiring a detailed look at their organisation’s results will be able to choose from additional Partner and Associate packages. These provide individual, detailed reports about their performance as an organisation, benchmarked against their industry sector and all employers.
