Telegraph group sets up online benefits portal for staff

Publishing company, Telegraph Media Group, has launched an online employee benefits scheme, which includes a personalised total reward statement.

The scheme also includes a salary sacrifice car scheme from leasing and salary sacrifice provider, Tusker, so 1,070 staff can view all their benefits online in one place.

The publisher of The Daily Telegraph newspaper has introduced new employee benefits, such as the salary sacrifice car scheme, online charitable giving and the option to increase life assurance from four times to 12 times salary.

The firm's existing pension scheme, childcare vouchers, bikes to work and computers at work are also available via salary sacrifice. Staff can also extend private medical insurance and health assessments to their families via salary sacrifice.

The Telegraph Media Group set a carbon cap of 160g/km for all vehicles selected under the scheme, which went live at the start of this month, to encourage uptake of environmentally-friendly cars.

To help communicate details of the scheme to Telegraph Group employees, Tusker attended two roadshows at the Telegraph's central London offices, during which employees were given a thorough briefing and provided with details of how to get the best from the scheme.

Head of HR Richard Morgan said: "When choosing the benefits to include on our new flexible benefits website, TMG Benefits Xchange, we took some time making sure that the people we partnered with were well regarded in their field.

"SS4C is the leading online salary sacrifice car scheme in the fleet market and we felt it would understand our employees and their needs.

"The SS4C portal provides all the details our employees need when choosing their car and provides an impressive depth of detail and information for the user."
