Institute of Training and Occupational Learning and Institute of Recruiters join forces to provide qualification to HR pros

The Institute of Recruiters (IOR) has a signed deal with the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (ITOL) to deliver training qualifications to recruitment and HR practitioners.

This strategic partnership is part of a bid to ensure that internal and external trainers will be professionally qualified.

ITOL is the British institute for trainers and learning & development (L&D) practitioners, whose clients include BT, Capita, Harrods, NHS, REED, HMRC and Airbus, together with the IOR will provide a 'Train the Trainer' solution for the recruitment and HR industry.

The collaboration will offer a range of qualifications including several new IOR/ITOL certificates and diplomas and ensure that trainers and L&D professionals are skilled to British Standards in the delivery of training to others.

Harry Bundred, ITOL director said: "By choosing recruitment trainers who are IOR/ITOL qualified comes with the assertion that the trainer fully understands how to deliver effective training. When a company invests in the training of staff, it is vital to ensure that this investment is safeguarded; and IOR/ITOL qualifications will now assure that.

"The international dimension of our collaboration with the IOR should not be underestimated. With these qualifications a recruitment trainer will be globally acknowledged as a professional of the highest standard," he adds.

Azmat Mohammed, IOR director general added: "Learning often depends on how knowledge is delivered, and there is no doubt that the more skilled the trainer, the greater the impact they have on those being trained. As new technologies emerge, the ways in which we learn and consume information are changing, incorporating more social, collaborative, and virtual dimensions. Trainers need to be well versed in how to transform content for easier consumption.

"For this reason we are extremely proud of this exclusive partnership with ITOL, allowing us to bring these new qualifications for trainers to the market. These accreditations form part of our continued commitment to raise British recruitment standards and further transform the recruitment industry."
