Workers to rally in Birmingham to urge the Government to protect jobs

Thousands of workers are heading to Birmingham this Saturday to take part in a rally to press the Government to make keeping jobs their number one priority.

The rally on Saturday 16 May, organised by trade union Unite, will include employees from Vauxhall, LDV, Corus, Jaguar and United Biscuits.

The campaigners want to push for more action to stop job losses in UK manufacturing, to get more state aid for business and greater protection for UK workers facing redundancy, including a short time working subsidy to keep people off the dole.
