In one of the most hotly contested catergories of the night, sponsored by coaching and services firm IDDAS, Forrester fought off competition from nine other CEOs, which included: Nick Wood Pets at Home, William Rogers at UKRD Group, Simon La Fosse at La Fosse Associates and Carl Pontus Noren from Cloudreach.
One of the judges said Forrester impressed with her personal leadership skills, which "shone though".
A TGI employee said: "She has a rare blend of being incredibly approachable and operationally empathetic, with a strong commercial ability."
After receiving her award, Forrester told HR Magazine: "Winning most people-focused CEO means the world to me. I was here four years ago and saw the winner walk away with it and I thought: I want to win that.
"Tonight, I've fulfilled that dream. For me, it's always been the case that it's about people. In this industry you won't succeed, if you don't understand what motivates your people."
