Next FREE HR Leaders networking event: Developing Dynamic Top Level Teams
HR magazine is making available a few extra spaces to HR directors interested in attending its next HR Leaders Club networking event on October 7.
The event is a chance to find out more about the exclusive HR Leaders Club, a free invitation-only club run by HR magazine and sponsored by Buck Consultants, and to meet existing members as well as hearing Professor Colin Coulson-Thomas speaking on how HR directors should take ownership of director and board development.
Coulson-Thomas, author of books including Winning Companies: Winning People and Developing Directors, A Handbook For Building An Effective Boardroom Team, will talk about why HR directors are in a strong position to be viewed by CEOs as independent, objective and helpful, why they should take director and board development back from company secretaries and how the recent craze for ‘corporate governance’ has caused a focus upon compliance, assurance and avoiding risks at the expense of the contribution a board can make to creating a better future.
The event takes place at the Herbert Morrison room, Marriott County Hall from 6.30pm-9pm on Thursday October 7.
