<i>HR</i>'s Peter Crush wins journalism award

<i>Human Resources</i>s deputy editor Peter Crush has been named a winner at the annual Watson Wyatt Awards for Excellence in HR Journalism.

Crush won his award in the Employee Benefits & Pensions category, the toughest-fought out of seven categories. He beat off stiff competition from the likes of CFO Europe, The FT, The Times and trade rivals People Management, Personnel Today and Employee Benefits.

The awards, now in their third year, attracted entries from more than 60 journalists working across the national press and business and specialist human resources media.

Judging the awards was Richard Gartside, director of human resources at Ernst & Young, Stuart Kennedy, head of customers operations at Royal Mail, Clare Muhiudeen, European head of human capital group at Watson Wyatt and Management Today’s Emma De Vita who was the 2007 Excellence in HR Journalism overall winner.

Clare Muhiudeen, European head of the human capital group at Watson Wyatt, said: “The quality of entries was better than ever this year. The award winners are those journalists who have written highly thought-provoking articles on the people management issues that are central to the corporate agenda.”
