Graduate reveals his potential by using Trafalgar Square's fourth plinth to land a job

As graduates find it increasingly difficult to find work in the recession, one brave jobseeker took a large copy of his CV to Trafalgar Square's fourth plinth in a desperate plea for employment - and he found a job.

In July, Swansea University graduate Alex Kearns was selected to appear on Andrew Gormley's living sculpture installation at Trafalgar Square, in London

The savvy graduate hung a banner that listed his qualifications, age, email address and hobbies. He also he held a placard, which read simply: "Interested? Give me a job!"

But Kearns, who studied Italian and French at university, was in luck. Less than a month later, he was invited to an assessment day at the International Business Development Group in London - and has since landed a role as a sales executive.
