East Midlands launch for radio stations job board

Global Radio has launched a recruitment job board for employers and jobseekers in the East Midlands with a view to rolling it out to other radio stations within the network depending on its success.

The site, which launched this week, will offer detailed profiles of potential employers and employees as well as 600 live jobs.

Functions will include extensive job searches, an email alert for new posts and sharing posts via Facebook.

Global Radio hopes to use its audience of six million adults to attract more people to recruit and look for jobs, appealing to passive jobseekers, and will be supported with an ongoing on-air promotion campaign.

Rob Edwards, Global Radio's head of recruitment advertising, said: "We have made great strides across our client base, educating them on the value of using Trent FM with regard to recruiting quality candidates for their business needs. This interactive development of Trent FM's website will allow us to further that client reach and also offer a more rounded recruitment solution to the local marketplace, focusing on local search."

The site has been provided in association with online consultancy HotLizard, which was responsible for job boards such as telegraphjob and FTBusiness.
