A tenth of London managers took no annual leave in 2011

One in 10 London managers have not taken any of their holiday entitlement this year, according to research from jobsite LondonlovesJobs, published this morning.

The survey, which polled 500 London-based middle managers, reveals that tough economic times have made it increasingly difficult for the capital’s managers to take time off.

Other findings from the study reveal that 15% of 45-54 year olds have not taken any time off this year, one in five (20%) will use only half of their holiday allowance this year and 70% of London’s managers will fail to use at least a quarter of their holiday allowance.

Katie Leaver, editor of LondonlovesJobss, said: “Unfortunately this is a sad reflection on the pressures faced by private sector workers in today’s economic climate. Not only are companies struggling to stay afloat, their employees are suffering as a direct result.”
