Perry Timms is founder and chief energy officer of consultancy PTHR. A chartered member of the CIPD, he has more than 30 years' experience in people, technology and organisational change and transformation. PTHR’s mission is better business for a better world. In 2020 Timms will be working with Thinkers50 leader Nilofer Merchant, building on her concept of 'Onlyess'.
In October 2017 Timms' first book – Transformational HR – was published and briefly made it to Amazon’s top 30 HR books. Already translated into Romanian, this book will also be translated into Chinese in 2020. It was voted onto several lists including a top 100 business strategy books of all time.
His second book – The Energised Workplace – will be published in April 2020 and is about designing organisations where people flourish.
Timms is an international and two-times TEDx speaker and adviser on the future of work and HR; a visiting fellow at Cranfield School of Management, Sheffield Hallam University; a fellow of the RSA; an associate consultant at the Work Foundation, and a guest professor as adjunct faculty at Hult Ashridge Executive Education.
