Autodesk's head of talent joins SAP in 'dream' role

Head of EMEA talent acquisition and talent brand at design and engineering software firm Autodesk, Matthew Jeffery (pictured), has been appointed global head of talent acquisition, strategy and innovation at enterprise software manufacturer SAP.

Jeffery will join SAP in March after finishing at Autodesk, where he has held his position since 2011.

He will report into Susan Bor, senior VP of global talent acquisition. Bor said a key task for Jeffery will be to "engage and inspire" entry-level talent and ensure that SAP is truly a career of choice for talented graduates.

Speaking to HR magazine, Jeffery described his appointment as a "dream role" in an "awesome company".

Jeffery said: "My role is to help drive quality in all areas, including ensuring that SAP has an attractive EVP offering. It engages in cutting-edge recruitment marketing campaigns and aims to build talent communities and predictable pipelines, drive recruitment technology, act as a custodian of candidate experience, and review, streamline and improve recruitment processes."

He added: "By 2015 SAP aims to be a $20 billion business and reach a billion people, build a $2 billion cloud business and become the fastest growing database company.

"To achieve these goals SAP is hungry to attract, recruit and retain the brightest talent."

Bor said: "Jeffery brings a great deal to SAP and we are proud to acknowledge he is a regular and recognised author on emerging trends in the industry and is in much demand as a thought leader on the conference circuit.

"His huge self-drive, innovatory outlook, passion to deliver and fun, engaging personality will fit perfectly at SAP."

Bor added: "We have high expectations of him."
