HRMI 2022: Donna Catley, chief people officer, Compass Group UK&I 

Donna Catley’s passion for social mobility has fuelled her work in the HR industry over the last 25 years.

She was appointed chief people officer of food services company Compass Group UK&I in October 2017, where she helps the organisation’s front line teams to deliver the best possible service to customers and clients. Prior to that, she worked as an HR director for BP in Europe.  

Originally from Birmingham and residing in London, Catley’s HR career has taken her all over the world. With a master's degree from the University of Oxford, Catley has worked as a management consultant in Russia with Accenture, a global human resources director in the US with PerkinElmer, and as head of HR with Cisco Systems in Munich.  

Catley also serves as a member of Kings College London’s Independent Council, where she is able to use her talents to give back to the local community by providing meaningful services.
