HRMI 2022: Craig McCoy, interim people director, Four Seasons Healthcare

Craig McCoy is currently interim people director at care operator Four Seasons Healthcare. Four Seasons has around 160 care homes and employs over 10,000 people UK-wide.

McCoy joined in May 2022 with a brief to lead the people agenda across the business, in particular tackling recruitment and retention challenges which are endemic across the elderly care sector. 

Before joining Four Seasons, McCoy was interim director of people and culture at the first aid charity St John Ambulance. He has an HR background which spans over 35 years across several companies in technology, media, telecommunications, property and health and social care. 

His work at group or regional HR director level has included terms at: Bupa, BT, The Crown Estate, Dentsu Aegis Network, Compaq Computer and Jersey Telecom. 

McCoy is a fellow of the CIPD and holds an MA in French & Italian from the University of Cambridge.  

He is also chair of the London HR Connection, a networking group for senior HR practitioners.
