HRMI 2022: Claire Gore, director of HR and OD, London North West Healthcare

Claire Gore was appointed director of the future of the NHS HR and OD programme in June 2022 - a programme designed to ensure that the HR and OD profession is fit to deliver the NHS people and long-term plans.

Prior to this she was the director of HR and OD at London North West University Healthcare Trust (LNWH) for six years.

At LNWH Gore was responsible for developing and delivering the people and the equality, diversity and inclusion strategies which set out the vision and roadmap to ensure that the trust has an inclusive culture with an engaged skilled workforce to deliver high quality patient care.

She provides leadership on the full range of people issues including culture, workforce transformation, capability, inclusion, capacity, leadership, OD, education and training, occupational health and wellbeing.

Gore led the workforce response to the Covid-19 pandemic in a trust that was particularly impacted due the demographics of the local community and the workforce (67% of the 8,000 staff are from black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities).

Gore began her career in the Metropolitan Police Service where she held a range of roles. She is an accredited mediator and a trustee of a charity.
