As chief people officer for the FCA she leads the team of HR professionals supporting the FCA to transform to a forward-looking, proactive regulator that is data led, innovative, assertive and adaptive. She leads a team providing a critical expertise on organisational effectiveness, future skills and resourcing, reward, culture and conduct HR operational excellence, diversity and inclusion and corporate responsibility.
Sheridan began her career in financial services with NatWest Bank and Capital One before moving to the Civil Service where she was the HR Director for Defra and DWP. She moved to the charity sector as the HR director for the NSPCC before returning to the Civil Service as the civilian HR director for the Ministry of Defence.
Sheridan is a trustee for the Mental Health Foundation, a non-executive director of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and a long serving volunteer with Crisis.
As a 16 year-old school leaver she has been a lifelong learner, a Chartered Companion CIPD with Masters Degrees in Coaching and Mentoring and Organisational Change.
