What happens when HR is put under the microscope?

In the current unpredictable business climate there’s a greater requirement than ever for HR to take an evidence-based approach.

We live in a time where there’s heightened scrutiny on executive pay and employment policies, where keeping up with the pace of change is challenging, but also where HR has the means to access, use and interrogate vast amounts of data.

HR magazine and KPMG have created this ebook, Evidence-based HR, to help you make strong arguments for the allocation of resources, and recommendations about changing the ways we recruit, recognise and reward people, based on hard data.

The ebook features articles from founding member and vice-chair of the academic board of the Center for Evidence-Based Management Rob Briner. It also takes a deep dive into the power of evidence-based reward, D&I and performance management, and what evidence-based HR means to practitioners. It is your definitive guide to making HR not just more evidence and data-driven, but more credible, influential and truly strategic.

The e-book is a great idea! There are multiple challenges ahead HR in terms of building HR Analytics capability within HR Function. HR Leaders are very much interested in seeing data analysis and expect taking actions based on analysis' results, however the difficulities occures when HR is "people" and not "numbers" orientated. Even if there is a skilled analyst withing the HR Team, the rest of the Function sometimes struggle to keep up with analytics and technology that supports it.
