The company still wants graduates with a mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, but they will then by offered off-the-job development for the first two years in areas such as health and safety, finance, contractual awareness, leadership, presentation and negotiating skills.
Graduates will be helped to achieve chartered status and a senior manager will mentor each one.
Ener-G's group managing director, Derek Duffill, said: "Our graduate programme will make a crucial contribution to Ener-G's strategic growth plans - boosting the supply of talented people to meet our constantly expanding business needs."
Although the organisation does recruit graduates, this is the first time it has approached graduates in a co-ordinated group activity.
