Stonewall reports although most people of faith do not have any problem working, living or socialising with lesbian, gay and bisexual people, a minority do see this as an issue. The guides for employers will provide essential advice on how to avoid conflicts at work between these groups.
Ben Summerskill, Stonewall's chief executive, said: "We recognise there are still some tensions between people of faith and the 1.7 million gay people in the British workforce. By preparing for difficult situations, employers can manage potential conflicts with confidence.
"Employers tell us they are less confident about preventing and responding to such incidents that they are to other forms of discrimination."
