I wouldn't presume to be able to offer an overall view of the market. But from my perspective \(recruiting into real estate and construction) infact there is increased recruitment activity. Interestingly there are several of my clients hiring into the property business recovery sides of their businesses.
So not all bad news.

Recruitment certainly is picking up, as a recruiter I see it from the front line and we have found that our monthly revenue has almost doubled for August/September and is looking promising beyond that - in basic terms this means that twice as many people are being offered jobs. On top of this, I have noticed an increase in new jobs as opposed to replacement hires.
