Keeping up to date with the latest employment and Health and Safety legislation can be challenging. There is a wealth of legislation to conform to, from fire safety through to preventing major accidents, and data protection. The potential risks of non-compliance are wide-ranging. According to figures from the Health & Safety Executive there were 121,541 injuries from slips, trips and falls in the workplace reported in 2009/10. 111 of these were fatal, and 26,000 were classed as major injuries.
