Professional services organisation Deloitte has announced plans to increase its recruitment of young people next year.
100 school leavers will join the company in 2011 under its new ‘Bright Start A Level entry scheme’, with 240 pupils taking part in its summer holiday scheme — an increase of 80%. In addition, 1.100 graduates will be recruited.
John Kerr, managing partner for talent at Deloitte, said: "We want to offer an alternative career path to bright students for whom university may not be the desired choice or an available option. Talent is the lifeblood of a business like ours and it is crucial that we do all we can to ensure that talented young people with the ability to succeed can find their way into Deloitte, whatever their background."
