Joe Williams , 29 Nov 2010

BT have hosted 1,500 work experience placements over the last year, the telecommunications company have announced.

The London Stock Exchange member stepped up its work experience programme at the end of 2009 as part of Business in the Community's "work inspiration" campaign, which aimed to improve placements for half a million young people a year.

The company aims to provide 3,000 placements by May 2011.

BT Chairman, Sir Mike Rake, said: "Work placements can help young people decide where their future lies. We do this because it is good for our business, it is good for our employees and it is good for our business, it is good for our employees and it is good for young people."

Work Experience Placements

Jane Nugent 07 Jan 2014

Dear Sir/Madam, I am the Work Related Curriculum Adviser at Newham Sixth Form College. I am looking for individual work placements for my Electrical Level 3 Engineering Students. The dates I require are 20/01/2014 to 31/01/2014 for 2 weeks. This is their last year at the College, most of them are hoping to go onto University, but we still have a vast number of students looking for apprenticeships that BT offer. Other than coming down this route, I have found it very hard to talk to any work experience co-ordinater, would be great to get a contact. Thank you so much..Looking forward to hearing from BT...Kind Regards Jane Nugent 020 7540 6969
