Eight online job sites are battling to be named Recruitment Website of the Decade as the National Online Recruitment Awards, for which HR magazine is media partner, celebrates its tenth anniversary.

Jobserve, Monster, Reed, Jobsite, Totaljobs, CV Library, S1 Jobs and the MoD/Army Jobs websites have been shortlisted for the prestigious accolade, which recognises the websites that have made the greatest contribution to online recruitment, from a candidate’s perspective.

Army Jobs is also shortlisted in the Best Major Employer Website category, where it is up against Claire’s Accessories, LV, T-Mobile and Yorkshire Building Society. Chase Zander, Innocent Drinks, Jagex and Advance Resource Managers are vying to be awarded Best Small Employer Website.

These sites join a diverse range of recruitment websites that are today shortlisted for categories in this year’s NORAs. Almost 28,000 nominations were made for 592 separate recruitment websites.

Stephen O’Donnell, founder of the NORAs, and chair of the judging panel, said: "We are proud to announce the most diverse shortlist of Finalists in the history of the NORAs.  The standard this year, particular among UK employers, has greatly impressed, and shows a marked advancement in progressive and sophisticated recruitment methods via the Internet."

The winners will be unveiled at an event on Thursday 4 November, in Covent Garden, London.
