The Queen Vic pub in Eastenders has been voted the fictional workplace most UK employees would like a job.
The Queen Vic topped the poll by Reabur, with 69% saying they’d like to work there, followed by The Office and the coffee shop in Friends, Central Perk.
The study of 1, 172 people across the UK found that only 4% of the respondents prefer their job to the fictional options given in the poll.
Of the 69% that stated The Queen Vic would be their ideal place to work, 56% claim it is due to the ‘drama’, 22% said it would be for the ‘free drinks’ and 17% would like to work in The Queen Vic because of the ‘sense of community’.
One in 3, 32%, of those who admitted one of their dream jobs would be to work in Central Perk, stated it was because of the ‘friendly company’ while 29% said the location was a factor in their decision.
Just missing out on the top 10 most popular fictional work places was the law firm in Ally McBeal, Cage, Fish and Associates, with 24% of the respondents agreeing this would be their ideal place of work.
Of the respondents that voted Mode (Ugly Betty) as the perfect workplace, 27% said it was because of the ‘lifestyle’.
Kirsty Burgess, co- managing director of Reabu, said: "It is interesting to see that a pub tops the poll; it proves that the places have been rated on the lifestyle that comes with it, rather than the profession."
"I can understand why people would want to work in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory; although that may not be great for the waistline."
