Travelodge announced it is to recruit 60 staff in Edinburgh, with the opening of two new hotels, and has promised a further 300 job vacancies across the UK later in the year.
All entry-level staff will be recruited via its employment partner, Jobcentre Plus.
In addition new hotels will be opening in major cities across the UK with three in London, two in Manchester, one in Liverpool, Bristol, Cannock (Staffordshire), Andover (Hampshire) and Camberley (Surrey).
Edinburgh Cameron Toll Travelodge is recruiting immediately with 30 positions available including: receptionists, head of housekeeping, guest room cleaners, linen porters, bar café assistants. Edinburgh Waterloo Place also has 30 positions available to be filled by this summer.
Travelodge offers a bespoke fast-track management programme. The in-house, 12 week training programme is available to all employees regardless of current position or length of service with the view to fast-track staff to hotel management. The training takes place in Travelodge ‘Centres of Excellence' - specially selected hotels across the UK which represent best practice in all areas of hotel management. Training areas include customer service, housekeeping, reception and catering. Once candidates pass the course they will ultimately have responsibility for their own hotel and a team of up to 40 staff.
