Acas has declared its confidence in Network Rail's HR director, following calls from trade union TSSA for him to be suspended from his position.
On Monday the TSSA called for the suspension of Network Rail HR boss Peter Bennett, over allegations he had "presided over a culture of fear and bullying" at the organisation.
Bennett is the only HR director currently serving on the Acas council, which decides the priorities and policies of the organisation. And a spokeswoman from Acas told HR magazine: "We are unable to comment on operations at Network Rail. However, Acas has experienced Peter Bennett to be a committed and conscientious Acas council member since May 2007."
The council also includes members from the TUC, Small Business Council, Confederation of British Industry and Unite.
