SPD Development Company has fully outsourced its payroll function to allow its HR department more time to deal with employee development and performance management.

The company, which provides consumer diagnostic products, has outsourced its payroll function for UK employees to NothgateArinso, which will handle and update staff personal information. Later in the year it plans to implement a programme to manage staff expenses.

Alix Denton, people and organisational development business partner at SPD, said: "We wanted a system that was advanced and easy to use - as well as achieving the cost saving we are looking for. It has been tailored to our needs wherever possible."
